Eligibility
Applicants must attend Shaler Area High School as graduating seniors and have displayed talent/interest in a particular field of study or activity with an emphasis on journalism and demonstrate financial need. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical trade school or two- or four-year colleges or universities. Applicants must be involved in productive extracurriculars and/or other activities outside of school which reflect an ordinary (typical) student who shows extraordinary self-discipline and motivation to goals larger than self.
