Eligibility

Applicants must be New York residents and must have been living in New York at the time of Armed Forces service. Applicants are eligible for the award if their parent(s) were killed during a period of war or national emergency, if they were reported missing, taken as a Prisoner of War, or suffered 40% disability as a result of service.
