Eligibility

Applicants must be New York residents and have resided in New York state for 12 continuous months prior to applying for this program and U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Social workers must be professionally licensed to practice in New York and have an outstanding balance on an eligible student loan debt. Applicants must be employed full-time as a licensed social worker in a critical human service area for at least 35 hours per week and not in default on students loans.
