Eligibility
Applicants must be spouses or children of a veteran in the state of Maine. They must be at least 16 years old, be high school graduates and be residents of the state of Maine for the last 5 years. They must be pursuing a college degree. Benefits must be awarded prior to the dependent's 22nd birthday, unless he is serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, in which case they may be awarded until his 26th birthday.
