Applicants must be between 16 and 21 years of age as of the application deadline and have a diploma from an accredited high school or a GED by the end of the current school year. Students must be in the Subsidized Guardianship Program, or the department must have court-ordered legal guardianship or have had legal guardianship for the applicant before adoption was finalized. Recipients must attend an Illinois state community college or university.
How to Apply
Applications are available online. An application form, transcript or copy of GED, SAT or ACT scores, three letters of recommendation and a college transcript (if applicable) are required.
