Eligibility

Applicants must be graduate students in physical science, U.S. citizens, available to accept two summers of paid internship with a government agency and must not already possess a doctoral degree. Students may also be nominated directly by a NPSC member employer.

Applications are available online. Students who have been employed or are employed by a government agency or laboratory should ask their mentor or research supervisor for direct nomination.
