Eligibility

Applicants must be current graduating seniors or former graduates of Wood River Rural High School in Wood River, Nebraska who are attending Central Community College (Columbus, Hastings, Grand Island) or Concordia University or are students enrolled in nursing at Central Community College in Grand Island or Concordia University. Preference will be given to seniors or graduates of Wood River Rural High School and those majoring in nursing, dental hygiene or electrical technology. Students must have a High School GPA of 3.0 or greater and maintain a minimum college GPA of 2.8 or above each semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have shown involvement in high school, college and community activities. Applicants who qualify for the Federal Pell Grant will not be considered for this scholarship, but financial need is a consideration.
