Eligibility
Applicants must be California residents, U.S. citizens or permanent residents and undergraduate students who are enrolled in at least nine credit hours at an accredited institution of higher learning. A GPA of 2.75 or higher is required. Applicants must enroll in two consecutive semesters and have completed at least one grading term of a postsecondary program. Rising sophomores must have 400 hours of restaurant work experience, and those beyond the sophomore year must have 550 hours of experience.

Applications are available online. An application form, essay, copy of curriculum, transcript, proof of work experience and one to three letters of recommendation are required.
