The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes honors outstanding young leaders who have made a significant different to people and our planet. Winners of the Barron Prize receive a $2,500 scholarship to be applied to their higher education or their service project.

Net Literacy's Financial Connects Scholarship
Net Literacy is providing scholarships to students who promote financial management. To apply, students must create a 2-3 minute video that touches on one of the financial topics provided. The last day for submission is December 31, 2011.
The Arabian Horse Foundation Scholarship
This annual scholarship is available to horse enthusiasts and members of Arabian Horse Association. The deadline to apply for each year is April 1st.
University of Phoenix Paying it Forward Scholarship
The University of Phoenix launched it's new scholarship program, Paying it Forward. UoP alumni have the opportunity to nominate current students for a scholarship, and 30 nominees will be chosen to receive the awards.
WAAW Foundation Scholarships
This scholarship program is open to women of African descent, who are living and studying in Africa. Scholarships are renewable annually and the application period spans from August 1 - October 30, 2011.
International Surfing Association Scholarship
The ISA is providing surf scholarships to students around the globe through their Individual Scholarship Program. Applicants must be junior surfers under age 18 who are in need of financial assistance. The deadline to apply for the 2012 scholarship is December 21, 2011.
