Scholarships to view scholarships that all students, regardless of degree program, may be eligible to apply for. Although there is only one main, scholarship application, scholarship titles followed by an asterisk (*) require some form of supplemental, additional information. Complete a 2010/2011 FAFSA by the February 15, 2010 deadline to increase your chances of receiving a scholarship. There are two reasons why completing the FAFSA is important. Some scholarships require that student demonstrate "financial need" to receive an award. What does it meant to demonstrate financial need? Financial need is the difference between annual college expenses and a determination of what a family can afford to contribute toward those costs. So don't skip filling out the FAFSA and applying for "need based" scholarships just because you and your family do not qualify for financial aid. Demonstrating "financial need" and being eligible for grants are not the same thing. The second reason why filling out the FAFSA is important is because but it provides biographical information that can be used to help identify eligible applicants for some scholarships. First time college students applying for scholarships should make sure we have at least a partial High School transcript (final High School transcripts are typically required for Admission purposes upon graduation) on file in order to evaluate your GPA and determine whether you meet the GPA requirements for individual scholarships.

Name: Erasmus Mundus MSC course in MathMods (Mathematical Modeling in Engineering: Theory, Numerics, Applications) Scholarships: Several Erasmus Mundus scholarships are offered by the European Commission to non-European students. These scholarships amount to a maximum of EUR 42,000.00 to cover the two-year expenses and are granted to the most promising applicants. A limited number of scholarships are also available for European students. Institutions: The MSC course is offered by a consortium of five universities in Europe, coordinated by the o University of L'Aquila in Italy (UAQ) and involves other four leading institutions in Europe: o Autonomous University of Barcelona in Catalonia (UAB), o University of Hamburg in Germany (UHH), o Gdansk University of Technology in Poland (GUT), o University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis in France (UNSA). Aims: Mathematical modeling lies at the heart of most current technological innovations and has become a fundamental tool in many fields of engineering. Essentially multidisciplinary in its applications, mathematical modeling and simulation is in its own right a key technology which is bound to increase its presence within efficient industries and businesses. The proposed program reflects this multidisciplinary, drawing on the unifying mathematical aspects from the various and often separate engineering disciplines Study Plan: MathMods MSc course is divided into four semesters. Each semester totals 30 ECTS credits. Mobility scheme will involve at least two institutions. Language: The language of the whole course will be exclusively English at each of the five universities. Students will also have to attend a local language course during the semester they are spending in each university partner. Admission criteria: Applicants must have obtained a recognized Bachelor's Degree (BS, BSC, SB, etc.) – or a degree at the level of a Bachelor's Degree, for instance its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of high standing, or 180 ECTS credits in the European system – in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering with a large background in Mathematics.All applicants whose native language is not English are required to prove a satisfactory level of spoken and written English, certified by TOEFL (550 points), IELTS (6.0 points) or equivalent.
