United States Scholarships

The Hites Transfer Scholarship is meant to support Phi Theta Kappa community college student members who demonstrate academic achievement, and desire to transfer to a degree-granting senior institution. Up to ten $7,500 scholarships will be awarded. All completed applications must be submitted by the end of the day on March 15.

The George Delos Gardner/Eugene Delos Gardner Scholarship Fund is for undergraduate students at the University of Arizona's School of Mining and Geological Engineering. Applicants must have financial need, and a GPA of 2.75. The last application deadline will be in December.

Google and the Associated Press are teaming up to offer scholarships to students interested in journalism and digital media. There will be $20,000 in scholarships available to students for the 2012-2013 academic year, and the deadline to apply is January 27, 2012.

The Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Foundation, recognizes New Century Scholars. One hundred and fifty students will recieve scholarships as either Gold, Silver, or Bronze scholars. Students must submit an application no later than December 3.

The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture scholarship is open to any individual presently receiving or planning to undertake training in a recognized yeshiva, teacher training seminary, school of social work, university, or other educational institution. Scholarship amounts vary. The deadline for submission and renewals is November 30.

This scholarship was established to aid students who have been personally affected by 9/11, including children and spouses of those who lost their lives in the attack. The criteria for the scholarship include financial need, scholastic abilities, and community involvement.

Each year, The Gallery Collection promotes the Create-A-Greeting-Card $10,000 Scholarship Contest to applicants who design a greeting card that may be used by the company, which is the leading publisher of premium quality cards in the United States. To enter, submit an original photo, artwork or computer graphics for the greeting card, from now until January 14. Applicants must be 14 years or older at the time of entryand be enrolled in high school, college or university.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must promote US-grown rice during the month of September. Students must be high school seniors in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, or Texas for the 2011-2012 school year. Application deadline is October 14, 2011.

The National Beef Ambassador Program works with youth across the country to educate consumers about beef and beef production. Five young adults are chosen to represent the Ambassador Team to educate consumers through a competitive youth speaking program. The competition is open to all youth ages 12-20, and awards the top five Senior division winners with $1,000 each.

The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture awards this scholarship to graduate students specializing in a Jewish field or enrolled in a doctoral program with an approved dissertation. The organization wishes to help train qualified individuals for careers in Jewish research and scholarship. The deadline for submission of new applications is October 31.
