Motorola MotoFWRD Scholarship

A. In one of the six categories listed below, develop and submit your entry. Your entry should define the future of seamless mobility – a set of solutions that will provide easy, uninterrupted access to information, entertainment, communication, monitoring and control, when, where and how we want regardless of the device, service, network or location. Your submission should depict how seamless mobility has the potential to enrich lives, foster inclusion, drive economic expansion and impact broad segments of our society. • Short Story (fiction) – Entry must be no more than 1,500 words • Essay/White Paper (non-fiction) – Entry must be no more than 1,500 words • Short Film – Entry must be no more than five (5) minutes in length • Animated Short Film – Entry must be no longer than five (5) minutes in length • Comic Strip – No more than twenty (20) frames can be utilized • Digital Arts – No more than ten (10) schematics or images Grand Prize (1) – A $10,000 Motorola cash scholarship (awarded in the form of a check); an eight (8) week summer apprenticeship at Motorola’s Chief Technology Office in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA on dates specified by Sponsor; with a $5,000 stipend contingent upon winner accepting the apprenticeship; a Bluetooth enabled car of Sponsors choice with an approximate value of $30,000 and a Motorola prize package including two (2) Ojos, a new Motorola specified phone and a Bluetooth headset valued at $1,500. The total approximate value of the Grand Prize - $41,500. The eight week apprenticeship has no monetary value. Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship

Eligible applicants to the Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship must prove/demonstrate: * Service under the United States Military in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan or Operation Iraqi Freedom beginning September 11, 2001 or later * Honorable service record under the United States Military * Critical financial need * Intention to pursue a bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) at an accredited college or university in the United States (awardees may begin their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution) * No more than 60 cumulative semester/credit hours by the end of the 2005 term. (Please send transcript after receiving grades for the current term). * Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 * Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity * U.S. citizenship or be in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen

The AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

The AXA Achievementsm Community Scholarship brings advice and access to higher education into every community in which AXA has a presence. Every AXA Advisors branch office nationwide will distribute up to ten $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who live and attend high school in their area. Selection of winners, known as AXA Achievers, will be made by our nonprofit partner, Scholarship America. AXA Achievers share these qualities: ambition and drive; determination to set and achieve goals; respect for themselves, family and community; and the ability to succeed in college.

The AXA Achievement Scholarship

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship, in association with U.S. News & World Report and managed by Scholarship America, provides $670,000 in annual scholarships to high school seniors throughout the nation. Fifty-two (52) scholarship recipients, known as AXA Achievers, will be selected – one from each state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. These recipients will receive one-time scholarships of $10,000 each. Ten (10) AXA Achievers will be selected as national recipients from the pool of 52, earning an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000, a computer and the offer of an internship at an AXA office. This brings each national AXA Achiever's total award to more than $25,000!
