Kennecott Scholarship - University of Utah

Available to outstanding entering or continuing undergraduate students selected by each college from among its majors, these scholarships are provided by Kennecott Corporation. The award size is $2,500, which may be granted in addition to the University of Utah Merit Scholarship, the Honors at Entrance Scholarship, or other tuition waiver award. Each college has specific requirements and conditions for its scholarships. At least 40 scholarships are awarded annually. Kennecott Scholarship recipients become members of the honorary Society of Kennecott Scholars. To be considered for a scholarship you must be a matriculated (degree-seeking) student. Proof of matriculation will be obtained by your college from the Office of Admissions. Check with the Kennecott Scholarships representative in the college of your major for the possibility of other application materials and interviews.
