Appalachian State University Academic Promise Scholarship
About the Scholarship
Appalachian is committed to promoting access to higher education for students who come from families of limited means. As part of that effort, the Academic Promise Scholarship provides financial support for Appalachian freshmen whose high school record predicts success in college but whose financial need is not fully met by state and federal financial aid. Scholarship recipients are determined in April of the year the student will begin at Appalachian and potential recipients are screened based on their acceptance to the university and the federal and state aid that has been provided in their financial aid package. Priority for the Academic Promise Scholarship is given to students who meet these criteria and who will be the first in their families to graduate from a four-year college or university. This scholarship is renewable with a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

Deadline
March 01, 2007
