North Carolina Scholarships

This scholarship is available to junior and senior North Carolina residents of Forsyth, Davie, and Yadkin counties who intend to travel abroad. Recipients of the scholarship will travel to China to complete a foriegn study program, and become eligible to receive this renewable scholarship.

The Wolfgang Häfele Memorial Scholarship is an academic scholarship established by Häfele America Co. to honor the memory of Wolfgang Häfele. The scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who are dependent children of full-time employees of Häfele America Co. The recipients of the scholarship are determined by the Selection Committee of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. INITIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Dependent child of current full time employee of Häfele America Co. For this purpose, a current full time employee is one who, as of the December 31 immediately preceding the application deadline, has been a full time employee of Häfele America Co. for the preceding twenty-four (24) months. 2. Graduating Senior from high school. 3. Cumulative 3.0 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale). 4. High school curricula must be college preparatory as defined by the high school. 5. Must attend an accredited university or college. 6. Submit completed Application Form.

This two year, $1,500 award is available to North Carolina residents of Forsyth County, who have been accepted into Horticulture Technology or Landscape Architecture programs at an accredited post-secondary instituiton within the state. There is an August 15 deadline for this scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to prospective physicians and physicians' assistants at Wake Forest University's School of Medicine. Applicants must be North Carolina residents residing in the counties of Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Stokes, Surry, or Yadkin. This scholarship is awarded to North Carolina residents of Forsyth County, who plan to further their education at either Salem College or Wake Forest University. Award amounts vary, and applicants should apply by August 15.

This $1,000 scholarship is designated for educational expenses for Fosyth County resident nursing degree candidates at Forsyth Technical Community College and Winston-Salem State University. The application deadline is August 15.
