Right Start Scholarship Program
Custom Computer Specialists is offering 15, $1,000 awards to students in the MA, CT, RI and NY areas. Submit an application packet including an essay and letter of recommendation by May 6, 2011.
The Alec Baldwin Drama Scholarship
Alec Baldwin ’94 (BFA, Drama), actor, Dean’s Council Member, has established an endowed scholarship for students in the Department of Drama. The Alec Baldwin Drama Scholarship Fund will provide financial support for students who, in addition to talent, exhibit an unwavering work ethic, leadership skills, a willingness to collaborate, and an ability to tolerate risk and work with constructive criticism. Special consideration will be given to students who are high performing/high need. The Alec Baldwin Scholarship will be awarded annually in perpetuity and celebrate this prominent alumnus’ significant contributions to the performing arts and to the Tisch School. A portion of his gift will support the Talent Identification Process, the Tisch School’s initiative to find the most academically and artistically talented students regardless of of their financial aid needs.
The Graphic Communications Scholarship
The Foundation provides financial support to New York City metro area students pursuing careers in graphic communications.
The deadline for Applications for the 2011-2012 school year is
Monday, May 16, 2011.
Winners will receiver their scholarships in June at the Graphics Scholarship Award ceremony.
In addition to providing money for college, we help mentor and advise students from middle school through graduate school, coordinate internship and work/study opportunities, and help to increase awareness of rewarding careers in the graphic communications field. We review learning resources, training aids and educational materials and develop the criteria to certify the skills and recognize the accomplishments of young graphics professionals.
New York State World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for the families and dependents of deceased or disabled victims in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States of America. Students must study at an approved in-state post-secondary institution.
New York State Volunteer Recruitment Service Scholarship
Scholarships to volunteer New York firefighters and ambulance personnel enrolled in an approved undergraduate degree program within the state.
New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Provides scholarship assistance to outstanding New York State high school graduates based on grades in certain Regents exams. Awarded to students attending an in-state institution.
