Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship

The Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship will be awarded following a statewide competition sponsored by the
Garden State Scholastic Press Association and the New Jersey Newspaper Foundation.
The scholarship, valued at $5,000, will be awarded by the New Jersey Newspaper Foundation, which administers
the Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The recipient will be named the New Jersey High School Journalist of the Year and will be entered in a competition
for the National High School Journalist of the Year, operated by the Journalism Education Association. Qualifications: ° Be a graduating high school senior.
° Be planning to study journalism in college and to pursue
a journalism career.
° Have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
° Have participated in high school journalism for at least
two years.
New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program

The New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program provides scholarships to accounting students at New Jersey colleges. The scholarships are available to college students currently in their junior year or seniors who will be entering an accounting-related graduate program.
New Jersey college students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for a NJSCPA college scholarship. Each student should be:
* A resident of New Jersey attending a New Jersey college or university.
* An accounting major, or have a concentration in accounting, with at least 12 credits in accounting completed by the end of the Spring semester.
* Currently junior-year status or above in an undergraduate program*.
OR
* Entering an accounting-related graduate program in the Spring or Fall semester*.
* A student may be awarded only one college undergraduate and one college graduate scholarship from the NJSCPA Scholarship Fund at the state level during his/her college tenure.
Seton Hall University Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

Incoming freshmen of color with outstanding academic and community service records. Awarded in the Fall Semester only for full-tuition and fees (excluding room and board). Application form must be submitted along with application for admission by scholarship deadline, January 15.
Kean University Council for Part-Time

Nine scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 each will be offered to eligible candidates.
Criteria: Cumulative average of 3.00 or higher with demonstrated financial need. Students must be enrolled part time, matriculated, undergraduates and must have completed at least 30 credit hours at Kean University.

National Marbles Tournament Scholarship

The 83rd annual National Marbles Tournament comes to Wildwood, NJ in June 2006. The "mibsters"(marble shooters) will compete for national honors, $5,000 in scholarships and numerous prizes and awards. The mibsters will play almost 1,000 games over the four‑day tournament. Champions selected from local tournaments held in cities and counties around the United States will converge on Wildwood for a week of serious marble competition and fun on amusement rides and boardwalk attractions.
The marble game played in the tournament is called Ringer. It is played by placing 13 marbles in the form of an "X" in a ten foot circle with players alternating shots. The winner is the player who is first to shoot seven marbles out of the ring.
"This tournament gives youngsters from across the country the opportunity to come to Wildwood and pit their skills against the best mibsters in the country," according to national committee members of the National Marbles Tournament. "Marbles is a game that has been played for centuries and this great tournament continues a tradition of competition, sportsmanship and good clean fun."
The event will be celebrating its' 46th anniversary in Wildwood. The National Marbles Tournament was first held in 1922. The national committee operates the tournament which is composed of a group of volunteer men & women from various walks of life, from around the country that have a common interest in the game of marbles.
Seton Hall University Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship

Incoming female freshmen who are U.S. citizens and intend to major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics (excludes pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary, PA, PT, AT, OT and nursing programs). Awarded in the Fall Semester only for full-tuition, all fees, room and board and a $500 annual stipend for books. Application form and essay must be submitted along with application for admission by scholarship deadline, February 1.
