$10,000 Student Loan Network Scholarship

Open to all undergraduate and graduate students, no GPA or other academic requirements. Student Loan Network (www.studentloannetwork.com) has been helping students fund their college educations since 1998.
Government Finance Officers Association Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship
The Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship of $10,000 is available for award to a graduate student who is enrolled in full-time master’s study preparing for a career in state and local government finance. This scholarship is funded by the Girard Miller Foundation. The winner of the scholarship is invited, as out guest, to attend the Government Finance Officers Association’s annual conference, where the award is presented.
Eligibility:
* Currently a full-time student in a graduate program that prepares students for careers in state and local government finance and expecting to be enrolled in the spring semester of the year for which the scholarship is awarded (including graudates of that spring semester).
* Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent.
* Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
* Recommendation from student's academic advisor or dean of the graduate program.
* Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada are not eligible to apply.
Dominican University Rosary College of Arts and Sciences Academic Scholarships
Presidential Scholarships valued at $12,000, Dean's Scholarships valued at $10,000, Honor Scholarships valued at $9.000, Achievement Scholarships valued at $7,000 and Recognition Scholarships valued at $5,000 are awarded to full-time incoming freshmen on the basis of their high school class rank and their ACT/SAT scores. Awards are made at the time a student is accepted. For students accepted to Dominican University after June 1, awards are subject to availability of funds. The awards are renewable until the student earns a bachelor's degree up to a maximum of three years so long as the student remains enrolled full-time and makes progress toward a degree. Dominican University Rosary College of Arts and Sciences Pillar Scholarships
This scholarship is designed for students at Dominican high schools who demonstrate leadership in the four pillars of Dominican life: study, community, prayer and service and who have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship will be $10,000-$17,000 a year depending on the student’s academic credentials
To apply, send:
* An essay describing your leadership experiences and demonstrating the four pillars of Dominican Life (500 words)
* Two letters of recommendation verifying leadership in the four pillars of Dominican life (one letter must be from high school counselor or principal)
The application deadline for 2007-08 scholarships is April 1, 2006.
