The Mayor's TechScholar Program, created by Mayor Curt Pringle during his State of the City address, is open to any college-bound high school sophomore or junior who lives in Anaheim and attends one of the City's 11 high schools. EarthLink is providing the laptops and waiving the students' Wi-Fi service fee. Seattle-based Schtickers.com is donating skins to cover the laptops.
"The Mayor's TechScholar Program will give students a chance to conduct research and complete homework assignments any where in Anaheim at any time," Pringle said.
