The Academic Challenge Program provides educational assistance to Arkansas residents in pursuit of a higher education. Additional funding made possible by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has allowed the expansion of the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship to provide higher education opportunities to previously underserved Arkansans (both traditional & nontraditional students). The goal of the scholarship is to provide significant financial aid to those who qualify.

# Established in 1984, SPSF NWA is a private nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to helping single parents accomplish their educational goals and create a better future for their children. # We offer scholarships to help single parents pay for the costs of their education and related living expenses. # More than $250,000 in scholarships is awarded each year.

The University Honors Scholarship (UHS) is the top scholarship that ASU awards to its best students. In order to be eligible for the scholarship competition, each student must be an Arkansas resident and be a 2007 graduate of an Arkansas high school. Additionally, each student must have one of the following: 1. 30 ACT minimum and a 3.500 cumulative GPA on the sixth or seventh semester transcript OR 2. 28-29 ACT and 3.750 cumulative GPA on the sixth or seventh semester transcript OR 3. Be a national merit finalist or semi-finalist. As the top scholarship of the university, the UHS covers tuition and fees for 15 semester hours, a double occupancy room, a meal plan and a stipend of $1200 for the academic year. Depending on the eligible applicant pool, the university expects to award between 40-45 scholarships.

Single Parent Scholarships are awarded to eligible single parents who are residents of Arkansas.
