University of Alabama Scholarships
Academic scholarships are merit-based, requiring that students earn certain grade point averages and/or scores on the PSAT, SAT, or ACT to qualify. Here is a sampling of what UA and other sources have to offer-but remember, it's important to investigate as many options as possible.
To select scholarship recipients, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the National Alumni Association, and The University of Alabama's undergraduate colleges and schools use the scholarship application on myBama for freshman and transfer students and a separate application for currently enrolled students. Student Financial Aid will use this information for non-need based scholarships as well.
Entering freshmen, transfer students, and current University undergraduate students who apply will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible, with the exception of those offered by Air Force ROTC, Army ROTC, and the College of Continuing Studies.
Note regarding Academic Common Market: A student who receives a scholarship that pays full tuition or the out-of-state portion of tuition is not eligible for an Academic Common Market scholarship. See acm.ua.edu for more information.
