Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Competition

Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Competition, sponsored by Ernst & Young, which will recognize young people in the Greater Washington Region who have best embraced the entrepreneurial spirit. The competition is open to any 9th-12th grade student in the Greater Washington Region who has started and is currently running his or her own business, and will run from January 26 - April 6, 2009. The first place winner will be recognized at the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards banquet on June 18, 2009, will receive a $1,000 scholarship, and will be invited to attend the Washington Business Hall of Fame in December 2009.
Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement's programs focus on the key content areas of entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. In partnership with businesses and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential and preparing them for the workplace.
