TIAA-CREF Paul A. Samuelson Award (Visit this link)

The TIAA-CREF Paul A. Samuelson Award recognizes outstanding scholarly writing on issues related to lifelong financial security. Named in honor of the Nobel laureate and former CREF Trustee, this award is given each year in recognition of an outstanding research publication containing ideas that the public and private sectors can use to maintain and improve Americans’ financial well being. The author(s) of the winning publication will receive an award of $10,000 if there is only one recipient. If, however, one award is granted for a book and another for an article, there will be two cash prizes of $5,000. Submissions recognized with a Certificate of Excellence, if any, will each receive a $1,000 prize. Submissions for the 2006 award competition are now being accepted; the deadline is September 8, 2006. For information on how to submit an entry, review the guidelines and application document.
