Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands Scholarship Directory (Visit this link)

The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands invites high school and college students to apply for eight annual scholarships as part of its mission to enhance the lives of children and families in the territory.
Last year CFVI awarded scholarships to 43 Virgin Islands students for a total value of more than $95,000.
The application deadline for all scholarships is April 10.
Public and private school students in the 10th and 11th grades are invited to apply for:
- The ISS 2006 Summer Enrichment Program Scholarship, which enables students to attend academically rigorous summer enrichment programs at stateside institutions of higher learning. Last year, four scholarships were awarded for programs including the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine and the Congressional Student Leadership Conference. To qualify, a student must be accepted in or have applied to a summer enrichment program, meet GPA requirements and demonstrate financial need.
College and university students are invited to apply for CFVI scholarships
including:
- The Anna Walsh Scholar Awards, which will provide a total of $10,000 in one-year, renewable grants to students enrolled in any accredited college or university who will have completed two semesters by June.
- The Artrelle M. Wheatley Scholarships, which will provide one year's full tuition to the University of the Virgin Islands to a student with an outstanding record in community service who will have completed two semesters at UVI by June.
- The Coral World Scholarship, which will provide $3,500 to a student pursuing a four-year degree in science in any accredited college or university. First consideration will be given to applicants in the fields of environmental science or marine biology.
- The Driehaus Capital Management USVI Scholarships, which will provide two scholarships, each providing a year's full tuition to UVI, to students with academic excellence and financial need pursuing degrees in business at UVI.
- The NSL 80th Birthday Fund, which will provide an award of $2,000 each year to students pursuing graduate degrees in the humanities, the social sciences or the fine arts.
- The Theodore E. Sharp Scholar Awards, which will provide a total of $2,000 in awards to students with outstanding records in community service that have applied to or are enrolled in any accredited college or university.
- The Tunick Family Scholarship, which will provide $1,000 to a student at the University of the Virgin Islands with academic excellence and financial need who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in business.
Applications are available: on St. Thomas at The Draughting Shaft, Havensight Mall; on St. John at Connections; on St. Croix at the offices of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce.
