The ROSE Fund Scholarship and Grant
The R.O.S.E. (Regaining One’s Self-Esteem) Fund is a Boston-based national non-profit organization established in 1993 to help survivors of domestic violence to rebuild their lives. The R.O.S.E. Fund is committed to recognizing, assisting, and empowering women who have broken the cycle of domestic violence. R.O.S.E. fulfills this mission by supporting education and public awareness programs and assisting individual women survivors of domestic violence to rebuild their lives and regain their self-esteem.
The R.O.S.E. Fund is conducting a national search for women who exemplify The R.O.S.E. Fund's Mission: A woman who has turned the overwhelming adversity of being a victim of domestic violence into a success story of being a survivor. The nominee must be a survivor who has broken the cycle of domestic violence and has persevered despite the harsh reality of her transition.
Nominations will be considered by the Award Committee, who will select the nominee who, in their opinion, best exemplifies the strength, courage and resolve of the human spirit, needed to regain one’s self esteem. The nominee should be a role model for women who have survived domestic violence, by demonstrating a willingness to be an advocate in her community, and/or by otherwise encouraging other domestic violence survivors to regain their self-esteem.
This year, The R.O.S.E. Fund is proud to announce that it has consolidated the two annual awards from prior years and has increased the award amount, such that the award winner will receive a cash grant of $25,000, to be paid to the winner incrementally over one year. The winner’s consultation with a financial consultant, provided by The R.O.S.E. Fund, will be a prerequisite to receipt of the funds.
