Texas Retired Teachers Foundation Student Scholarship (Visit this link)

The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF) will award ten $500 scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year to ten students who are relatives of a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA), and who are pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in Education at a Texas university or college. Students must download the application from the TRTF website at www.trtf.org. All applications must be received by 5:00 pm on March 13, 2009.
Scholarship Applicant Eligibility:
An applicant must:
1. be enrolled in a university or college in Texas for the 2009-2010 school year.
2. be a relative of a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA).
3. be pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in Education.
4. Submit his/her high school and/or college transcripts along with the application.
5. submit his/her application by 5:00 pm on March 13, 2009.
How to Apply for a Student Scholarship:
1. Download the application at www.trtf.org.
2. Complete the application and submit the form by e-mail to info@trtf.org or by US Mail.
3. Submit the scholarship application by 5:00 pm on March 13, 2009.
Scholarship Application Review:
The TRTF Scholarship Review Committee will review all scholarship applications competitively.
Notification of Grant Recipients:
The names of the ten 2009-2010 scholarship recipients will be announced at the 2009 Convention of the Texas Retired Teachers Association during the Foundation luncheon. The convention will be held in Dallas, Texas on March 29, 30, and 31. Winners do not need to be present and will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail after the Convention.
