Robert N. Hancock Memorial Scholarship
Robert N. Hancock was a Fellow and Past President of IEST (Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology), a long-time member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the IEST, and a leader in the field of environmental engineering until his death in 2006. One of the early proponents of environmental stress screening and combined environmental testing, he had a long and distinguished career and was a source of inspiration through his dedication and technical expertise. The Robert N. Hancock Memorial Scholarship was established in 2006 by IEST to honor Robert Hancock’s energy, devotion to IEST and the field in which he worked, and his commitment to the education and training of young people in the environmental sciences.
The Robert N. Hancock Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $500, is awarded annually by IEST for the best original technical paper written by a student and published in the Journal of the IEST.
