Pension Real Estate Association Scholarships (Visit this link)

This year, the Pension Real Estate Association will again award scholarships to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of each award. Potential recipients who demonstrate no need will be eligible to receive the minimum award. This year the program has been increased to $60,000 with the following distribution. 1. $30,000 will be awarded to graduate students majoring or concentrating in real estate. 2. $10,000 will be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in real estate. 3. $20,000 will be awarded to the Robert A. Toigo Foundation to create a PREA/Toigo scholarship for minority students planning to pursue a career in investment real estate. Please APPLY HERE for a PREA Scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students. The authorized distribution will range from $500 to $5,000.. In addition, PREA will once again collaborate with the Robert Toigo Foundation in its effort to support the education and professional development of minority students pursuing careers in real estate. The Robert Toigo Foundation will select Fellows from the Class of 2007 who will share in the $20,000 award. For more information about the Robert A. The Pension Real Estate Association was founded in 1979 with a mission to serve its members through the sponsorship of objective forums for education, research initiatives, membership interaction, and the exchange of information. In keeping with this mission, PREA established a scholarship program in 1994 to promote the understanding of institutional investment in real estate. To date, PREA has awarded $240,000 in scholarships to 72 graduate students concentrating in real estate studies at 29 academic institutions in the United States and Canada.
