NFIB Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Award
The NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation announces its fourth annual scholarship program for high-school seniors, now known as the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards. This scholarship program is designed to set teen small-business owners on the path to entrepreneurship. Nationwide, at least 400 recipients will attend the university, college, community college or vocational/technical institute of their choice with $1,000 in tuition assistance from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation. One outstanding student will receive a $10,000 award, and four regional winners will receive $5,000 each.
The program made its debut in 2003 when it awarded a total of 110 scholarships to teens nationwide, rising to 381 awardees in 2005, thanks to additional financial support from numerous small-business leaders and corporate and foundation supporters.
Current high-school seniors may download the PDF application, or apply online through the Scholarship Program Administrator's Web site.
