Scholarship Name Chancellor's Scholarship for Excellence Program
Description "This program awards scholarships to up to thirty students annually. The scholarship provides full tuition and mandatory fees or tuition only until undergraduate graduation from UMass Boston. The program was established in order to encourage Massachusetts residents who have excelled in academics, the arts, or public and community service to pursue their higher education."
Eligibility "The program is open to freshmen and transfer students who demonstrate the potential to maintain a 3.2 grade point average at UMass Boston and who qualify in one of the following three areas: 1. academic excellence, 2. excellence in the arts, 3. excellence in unpaid public or community service. To qualify under academic excellence freshmen must be in the top 10% of their high school class or have an SAT of 1150 or higher.Transfer students must have a 3.5 transfer GPA."
