RTN Federal Credit Union 2007 James A. Burley Scholarship Essay Contest (Visit this link)
In honor of our former RTN chairman and director for over 30 years, the James A. Burley, Jr. Scholarship Contest provides an opportunity to win one of three awards totaling $5,000. The contest rules are as follows:
Contest open
April 1, 2007 - May 31, 2007
Eligibility
Members of RTN Federal Credit Union (and/or their dependents) in good standing enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or post-high school technical college in Fall 2007.
Essay Theme
The Essential Qualities of a Good Role Model
(250 words or less)
Essay Submission Due
By May 31 to any Credit Union office

Scholarship awards
First place: $2,500
Second place: $1,500
Third place: $1,000

Prizes awarded
Spring 2008 upon proof of good standing in fall 2007 semester
Photograph / Certificates
All winners will receive recognition at a small awards ceremony at the Credit Union’s Waltham main office. Lunch will follow. All winning applicants will be required to sign a release authorizing use of their name and photograph for marketing purposes.
Taxes
Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes.
