Berklee College of Music Scholarships Directory (Visit this link)
The college accepts scholarship applications from all serious instrumentalists and vocalists performing in any contemporary music format from jazz, pop, and rock to emerging sounds and styles. What matters most to our faculty reviewers is your level of musicianship and the sense of style and artistry exhibited by your performance. If you are selected to participate in auditions, you not only have the opportunity to compete for scholarship awards, but also have the chance to meet distinguished members of the music community who teach at Berklee and who can offer some valuable insights about your musical abilities.
Berklee traditionally pays tribute to individuals whose outstanding contributions have enriched contemporary music and, as a consequence, your Berklee learning experience. Over the years, Berklee has had the privilege of bestowing honorary degrees upon some of the most distinguished artists in the world, including Art Blakey H'87, David Bowie H'99, Natalie Cole H'95, Chick Corea H'97, Duke Ellington H'71, Arthur Fiedler H'72, Dizzy Gillespie H'89, Billy Joel H'93, Cleo Laine H'82, Tito Puente H'95, Carly Simon H'98, Sting H'94, and Sarah Vaughan H'78.
Of course, Berklee also recognizes the achievements of another important group: you and your fellow students. Once you enroll at Berklee, you may be eligible to receive one of 82 prestigious endowed scholarships, including the Aerosmith Scholarship, the Billboard Endowed Scholarship, the Jimi Hendrix Scholarship, the Arif Mardin Scholarship, and the Charlie Parker Scholarship.
