BP Community Scholarship Program
BP employees, dealers and jobbers in Chicagoland began the community scholarship program in 1987 as a way to invest in the success of youth in neighborhoods where they operate businesses. Since its inception 19 years ago, the program has continued to grow and has expanded to other BP markets including New York and Washington D.C. The scholarship program has provided more than $4 million in scholarships to nearly 2,900 promising students. A current high school senior planning to enroll as a full-time student (12 semester hours or more) in an accredited two or four-year college or university in the U.S. for the 2006 - 2007 academic year.
• Possess at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
• Be able to demonstrate financial need.
