The Georgia Hope Scholarship (Visit this link)
HOPE - Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally - is Georgia's unique scholarship program that rewards students with financial assistance in degree, diploma, and certificate programs at eligible Georgia public and private colleges and universities, and public technical colleges. Since the HOPE Program began in 1993, more than $3 billion in HOPE funds has been awarded to more than 900,000 students attending Georgia's colleges, universities, and technical colleges. At public colleges, the HOPE Scholarship provides full tuition, approved mandatory fees (such as health and student activity fees), and a $300 per academic year book allowance. Room and board expenses are not covered.
Full-time students attending private colleges can receive a HOPE Scholarship in the amount of $3,000 per academic year plus qualify for the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant of $900 per academic year. Half-time students attending private colleges can receive a HOPE Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 per academic year. To be a half-time student, you must enroll in 6-11 hours per semester or quarter. Half-time students do not qualify for the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant.
