Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship (Visit this link)
Named in honor of Elaine Chapin, this scholarship will provide funds to support post-secondary education of an individual(s) impacted by multiple sclerosis, either directly or as a family member. Applications will be accepted January 1 through May 31, 2009. The number of awards and amounts are determined on merits of applications received. Minimum amount awarded will be $500.00. Proof of registration will be required before forwarding of funds. Recipients will be chosen on basis of financial need, academic standing and impact with which multiple sclerosis has affected their lives. Applicants must be citizen of United States who plans to enroll in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school located in the United States. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester in course work leading to a degree, license or certificate. To apply please email elainememorial@sbcglobal.net. Applicants must complete and send the application, an official transcript of their most recent academic grades, plus 2 letters of reference by May 31, 2009, to the address listed at the top of this page for consideration. The final selection of the scholarship recipient(s) will be made by the family of Elaine Chapin.
