Boston College Presidential Scholars Program (Visit this link)
The Boston College Presidential Scholars Program is a university-wide co-curricular four-year honors program whose members have been recruited as incoming freshmen from the top 1-2% of the national applicant pool, based on academic achievement, leadership potential and an orientation toward service to society. It carries a four-year, full-tuition scholarship and is limited to fifteen incoming freshman per year. Presidential Scholars participate in three summer programs: community service, an international immersion study experience, and a professional internship, all fully funded. During the academic year, Scholars participate in two biweekly evening programs: a Visiting Speaker series that introduces them to men and women whose achievements have made them leaders in their professions and who can serve as a source of intellectual and personal stimulus, and Leadership 101, a series of practical skills workshops. Presidential Scholars alumni have been admitted to the most prestigious and competitive graduate programs, including nearly all the top 10 law schools, most major medical school programs, and the top ten graduate programs in the sciences.
